The Certified Stock Trader (CST) Program has been designed to recognize the unique qualifications and expertise of those professionals engaged in stock trading.
Educational Requirements
Hold a bachelors degree, in any area, from an accredited college or university. Degrees from accredited foreign institutions are acceptable. If your degree is from an accredited foreign institution, you must submit a transcript translated into English, showing the official university seal. Educational credentials can be submitted when applying to the exam or at a later date. The educational credentials must qualify in order to be certified. Candidates who hold an associate's degree or who have extensive experience in option trading may apply.
Experience Requirements
Requirements to apply for the CST examination: Possess a bachelor's degree plus two years of work experience in stock trading or investment. OR Possess an associate's degree plus four years of work experience in stock trading or investment. OR Without a degree and eight years of experience in stock trading.
Exam Content
Introdction to stocks, new issues and IPO’s, OTC and exchange markets, investment policies, margin and short selling, mutual funds, technical and fundamental analysis, economic analysis.
Exam Fees
The (CST) exam is a prepaid event and all fees are due at the time of registration.

The Registration fee is not refundable or transferable.
Retest Exam Fees
Non-passing candidates are not required to pay the $US 50.00 registration fees * when retesting during the one year eligibility period.
